Johnson farms is a three generation family farm located just West of the Minnetonka High School. We grow flowers and fresh vegetables in a natural woodland setting. We do not use chemical pesticides. Our family grows the vegetables we like to eat and we do taste tests for quality.
We will be at the Chanhassen market this summer with a new location closer to the street.
We will have maple syrup, rhubarb, salad greens and flowers. We will also be at the Minnetonka farmers market starting in June.
We will have cucumbers, rutabagas, potatoes. We raise Japanese
eggplant. A special variety of summer squash is called Golden Egg and is said to have the best flavor and texture. One of our favorite herbs is tarragon which is good in salads and soups (add during the last 10 minutes when making soup). Tarragon goes well with chicken. Cook chicken breasts with walnuts and add chopped chives and tarragon.
Also, we have photos taken at the farm matted and ready for framing. There will be a selection at the market.

Buckets for produce and cut flowers are thoroughly washed and sanitized.
The flavor of our celery is outstanding. Celery in the supermarket is grown with the highest amount of pesticides of any vegetables. And we sell celery with the tasty nutritious green leaves left on. The leaves are easy to dry to use in winter soup.
Available again this spring - organic pure maple syrup from our maple forest. This is considered "Estate" pure maple syrup, unique because it has distinctive taste being from one farm rather than blended as is commercial maple syrup.
